Mount Bromo, Malang
Mount Bromo is an active volcano located in East Java, which is in the island of Java. The nearest town (with an airport) to Mount Bromo is Malang, where you could take a flight from Jakarta’s Soekarno Hatta Airport. Upon landing in Malang airport, it takes about 3 hours to travel from Malang to Mount Bromo. Some travellers prefer to take a flight to Surabaya instead of Malang. Mount Bromo is popular among domestic as well as international visitors due to the fact that the climb is rather easy for a mountain. Furthermore, the area offers extremely spectacular views. You could also see the white smoke coming from the caldera right in front of yours while you are there. Bromo is located near other nearby mountains such as Mount Semeru, which is meant for the more adventurous as it could take up to a few days to reach the peak.

Gili Islands, Lombok
Gili Islands are part of Lombok, which is often referred to as the underrated (or less tourist) version of Bali. In fact, Lombok and Bali are both alongside each other. Lombok is part of the Nusa Tenggara province, west of Bali. Gili islands are well known for their picturesque beaches as well as scenic beauty. If you are keen on diving or snorkeling, Gili islands are a great place to be. Its blue and crystal clear waters would allow you to see the diverse marine life offered by the islands. On the other hand, if you would like to catch some yoga classes or see some turtles, they are all available on the islands of Gilli.
Lake Toba, Pulau Samosir
Lake Toba is located on the island of Pulau Samosir. Pulau Samosir is another island located on the island of North Sumatra. Interesting isn’t it? A lake within an island which is within another island. The formation of Lake Toba is said to be caused by a massive volcanic eruption, which is said to have occurred at least 70,000 years ago.An interesting fact about this island is that it is so large that is actually larger than the nearby Southeast Asian country of Singapore. At Lake Toba, There are many activities such as swimming, canoeing fishing, biking or trekking.
