Indonesia is a country with a massive population of approximately 300 million people, and it is still growing rapidly. It is currently the fourth largest population in the world. On the other hand, Indonesia is said to be the largest economy in Southeast Asia and on the global stage, as it is ranked to be the sixteenth largest economy in the world with an estimated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of more than 940 billion US Dollars. With all these impressive numbers, it is often easy to forget that the country is still in the developing stage, like many countries in the region of Southeast Asia.
When looking at Southeast Asia, there are eleven countries in the region. Apart from Indonesia, the remaining ten countries that form the region are Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam as well as Timor Leste. In recent years, growth in the region has been rapidly surging. In total, Southeast Asia has a population of over six hundred million people. The combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2013 stands at 2.4 trillion US Dollars, making it the seventh largest economy, just behind the United Kingdom at 2.5 trillion US Dollars.
Looking at the growth potential of Indonesia and the region, we can see the amount of potential that exists in the logistics industry, both in Indonesia and beyond.
Lets begin by looking at the Trucks of Indonesia
